Are you visiting Washington DC and looking for the perfect place to take photos that do not consist of the ~monuments~?
Well, have no fear Domonique is here.
I decided to create this blog post about Instagrammable places in DC || Best Places to take photos in Washington DC because I am always looking for a great photo in amazing new cities.
So I went on a photoshoot excursion and got some nice video and example shots for you all.
Make sure you pin this and share this so that you can remember.
Also For the majority of these places, I went by myself and took them with my tripod. So these places are also self-portrait friendly.
Here we go Instagrammable places in Washington DC As told by me, Domonique
Culture House DC
700 Delaware Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024
Yes, it looks like a haunted house upon arrival BUT, This is such a cool and artsy location. There are so many different spaces, colors, and angles of photos you can take in this spot. It literally is a spot for the artistic mind and perfect spot to brighten up your Instagram feed. I do have to warn you! Do not try going during direct sunlight. There are a ton of trees so they cast a ton of shadows at high noon.
Call Your Mother Deli
3428 O St NW, Washington, DC 20007
What used to be a floral shop has now turned into this awesome super yummy deli. This pink Iconic house gives you all the angles you need in order to get the perfect shot. I went for portraits with all pink walls, wide-angle shots, and full-body shots. It is perfect for brightening up your Instagram feed with a nice pop of pink. Don’t worry you can also eat afterward. Pro Tip: Go during the early morning or evening after closing time. Fewer people and a better shot. I take my photos with my tripod// by myself so definitely recommend that.
BLAGDEN ALLEY
Blagden Alley NW, Washington, DC 20001
Now this space is straight joy. Even though someone did run over my camera with their car during this time. That being said probably not the best place for a long photo shoot or go alone. There are cars driving through and some are not considerate of the pedestrians in the alleys or at the restaurants.
On a brighter note, there are tons of murals and these AMAZING garage doors. So have fun where a fun bright outfit and take some joyful photos.
CITY CENTER DC
825 10th St NW, Washington, DC 20001
This was by far the coolest place I went to. This is because of the balloons at the top change with different seasons. I went on a Sunday at around 10 am and the parking was free as well as no one was there. So I plopped my tripod down and got this awesome shot.
There are about 3 different city center sections that have these beach balls. So you can find a spot that has the least amount of people to get your shot and practice social distancing.
Union Market
1309 5th St NE, Washington, DC 20002
Decided to go here because they have a multitude of different murals, restaurants, and locations to take some really cool photos. We decided to go with the basic all-white wall because that was the vision for the photo. However, there are tons of other spots withing 3 feet from each other to take some interesting photos. If you are looking for a fun experience that doesnt just consist of the national mall then head over to union market.
I hope you guys go out and get those BOMB Instagram photos and use these locations and videos to liven up your feed. Instagrammable places make tourist locations like Washington dc so much better. So move out the way monuments were here for the exclusive shots!

Domonique
