Washington DC Reviews

Mission Espresso – Cafe Georgetown

If you adore a cute coffee shop and the smell of espresso beans in the morning, you are going to love this new adventure I am embarking on.

Mission: Espresso Find The Best Coffee Shop in Washington DC

The tasks are simple each week I’ll review new coffee shops that I find. Then, I’ll rate each of the 4 categories out of 4 stars.

1. Instagram worthy

2. Coffee Taste

3. Location

4. Ability to do work

Then I will combine those scores to give you the overall average. Sounds great! OF COURSE, it’s definitely going to be a whole LATTE fun.

Now that the formalities are out of the way and we understand how this is going to go down. It’s time to commence the first mission.

First up: Georgetown Cafe

This cute cafe shop gives you all the feels when it comes to being aesthetically pleasing. White color walls with dark blue accents trimmed with gold. It almost feels like a jewelry shop just with coffee… a true girl’s best friend.

With a small dainty interior and a wine bar attached to the back, this European style cafe makes you want to just fall in love or meet a cute stranger on the street.

But remember, we are in DC, not new york… this… doesn’t happen here.

Either way, what I loved most about this cafe was not only was it beyond adorable, they also have new monthly latte creations every month. February is the month of love, where they made a tasty rose latte. And I am super excited to find out what April is going to!

Don’t get super excited about Georgetown Cafe just yet. There are two major flaws in my book. The first is that parking... if for some unforsaken reason you decide to drive, is the absolute worse. The second, ladies and gents is unfortunately, Cafe Georgetown has a no laptop rule that basically stops the use of any type of device that could be used to completing work.

Making this Cafe not the place you would go to if you had anything to actually do.

With that being said here are my final Pros and Cons

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing. Great place to take pictures, super great coffee.

Cons: Can’t do work, Parking sucks, it’s up a hill 20 min from Foggy Bottom metro

OVERALL Rating: 3.1 out of 4 stars

Instagram worthy – 4 stars

Coffee Taste – 4 stars

Location – 3.4 star

Ability to do work – 1 star
