What’s up party people, Domonique here with a review of a popular meal service brand that has taken TikTok and all other forms of social marketing by storm.

If you are anything like me, cooking does not come easy for us. The food we make will be decent but we are a far cry away from let’s say a “Master Chef”. Sorry, Gordan Ramsey but you would definitely roast all my dishes!

So after verbally complaining about how I wish I knew how to cook different foods and could spice up my dinners. My beautiful FBI agent or maybe Siri listening to my food rants put an astronomical amount of HelloFresh ads on my google, TikTok, Instagram, and even dare I say Pinterest!

Basically, HelloFresh is a recipe delivery service that delivers to your door each week a giant box full of pre-selected (you choose via an app or the internet) recipes. They send you the protein, vegetables, all the way down to the seasonings. This part is awesome!

On their site and app, you can also choose what type of plan you want to be on. Which for me is the meat and vegetable plan since protein and carbs are major in my nutrition. For those who exercise a ton, it may be as well.

ANYWAYS, the meals are broken up and you are given recipe cards that really help you create all the meals. They are super easy to read and most of the recipes on the recipe cards are healthy. Unless you pick one that is not. And well, that’s on you.

So here are the deets, 2 things you should think about before you dive headfirst as I did into HelloFresh.

Think about your budget

Your budget and how much you are willing to spend on food a month will largely determine whether or not you actually want to do this meal service. My boyfriend and I decided to get it because we are people who when it gets late or we are on a time crunch we order on uber eats. To be honest, the options are never really the best and we end up spending 40 dollars per order session. So our decision to get this was solely because of the number of times we were willing to spend on ordering out and this was our solution to eating healthier and more nutritious meals.

What is your goal?

This is an important one because you are spending money on something and two because there are so many different paths to get there. When deciding on HelloFresh, our goal was to reduce spending as well as consistently eat healthily. That was all.

Thoughts | Pros + Cons

I personally like Hello Fresh a lot. I think it really has helped in reducing the amount of money we spending ordering out. Plus, the meals are all healthy and portioned out. I like that there is an app that shows you pictures of the meals the instructions and the caloric intake of all the portions. It really is easy and the time to clean and cooking wear usage is not that much. I also love the fact that if I don’t choose one of the recipes that week I can still look at the recipe and its nutrients and make it on my own outside of the service.

My cons with this meal delivery are that I don’t know how long we are going to last with the novelty of the foods. Mostly because we were so accustomed to eating the same foods every week and Hello fresh does switch our there meals and recipes every week. My second con would have to be the price point for the portions. The portions are literally the EXACT portion for a singular person. Meaning that there is no room for extra meals and food for leftovers or for another night. Which to be honest might work for some people. But if you get three recipes then that is only 3 nights. So we moved up to 4 servings (aka 4 people) so that we can have dinners or even if we make it a lunch for longer periods of time. Mostly because we wanted to reduce the number of times we ordered out and maybe comprised our healthy eating.

This is why it’s important to really think about your goals and budget because this service requires you to really think about what you want to gain and get from it.

I would say HelloFresh is something you should definitely try and use even if it’s only for a short amount of time. You get to keep the recipe cards and learn all of these different healthy meals that are definitely beneficial to your health. So I would give it a go.

Because I use Hello Fresh I can give my friends and family $70 dollars [usd] off if you sign up. Which is a lit deal and I used one of these codes to sign up as well.

The coupon basically takes off around 20 ish dollars from every week which is almost a month of discounted food weeks so if you get the 2 serving box it will only be around $25 [usd] a week. Which like guys for a whole week of food that’s amazing.

Here is my personal code [click HelloFresh] –> HELLOFRESH

It will take you right to the site to sign up and give you the 70 dollars off.

I hope you guys enjoy the service as much as I am right now and give it a whirl even if it is only for a couple of weeks. You also when you sign up can send your close family and friends free boxes of food which is such a beautiful and nice gesture.

Let me know what you think. Signing off,

Domonique
